Melissa Shay Aycock
The funeral for Melissa Shay Aycock, 29, of Elkmont, will be at 2 p.m. today at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with Steve Hargrove officiating. Burial will be in Elliott Cemetery in Ardmore, Tenn.
Ms. Aycock died Thursday, July 20, 2006 at Huntsville Hospital.
She was born Dec. 27, 1976 in Athens to Jerry Wayne Aycock and Lana Starlene Martin Aycock. She lived all of her life in this area. She enjoyed swimming, dancing and music. She was preceded in death by her mother.
She is survived by her father; uncle, Jack Martin and wife Barbara of Ardmore; aunts, Mona Wortham of St. Louis, Mo., Suzanne Pylant and Donald of Ardmore, Freida Edwards and husband Dale of Ardmore, Jealyn Swaim and husband Doug of Athens, Connie Aycock of Athens and LaDon Aycock of Huntsville; and six cousins, Amber Swaim, Brandy Lawrence, Donnie Pylant, Jeremy Martin, Lori Scott and Beverly Bailey.
Pallbearers will be C.K. Bailey, Craig Bailey, Christopher Scott, Donnie Pylant, Johnnye Lawrence and Jeremy Martin.
Norene Lowery Baird
Norene Lowery Baird, 78, passed away Friday, July 21, 2006.
She is survived by one son, Bill Baird; one daughter, Debbie Preston; one brother, Otis Lowery; one sister, Gertrude Brazelton; eight grandchildren, Will Baird, Mary Beth Baird, Daylee Preston Downs, Ben Preston, Christy Baird Lambruschi, Monica Lewter, Bobby Baird and Grant Baird; four great-grandchildren, Hayden Lewter, Savannah Preston, Marley Lewter and Gunnar Lambruschi.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Baird Sr.; two sons, Michael Grant Baird and Robert W. Baird Jr.; her parents, U.G. and Mary Lowery; three brothers, Quinten Lowery, Tom Lowery and Hollis Lowery; and one sister, Alice Barkley.
Visitation will be from 5-8 tonight at Madison Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Madison Chapel Funeral Home with Ricky Lowery officiating. Burial will be in Madison City Cemetery.
Ottis Brown
Ottis Brown of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Belle Mina, passed away July 11, 2006 at his residence in Colorado. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Peoples Funeral Home.
