Earl Wayne Elrod Sr.

Earl Wayne Elrod Sr., 63, of Limestone County, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2006.

He was an employee of Northwest Airlines for 31 years before retiring in 2004.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lesa Jane Elrod; granddaughter, Kristin Renee Cox; father, Bill Elrod; and brother, David Elrod.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Essie Jane Elrod; son Earl Wayne Elrod Jr. and daughter-in-law Laura Bergstresser Elrod of Madison; and daughter Gina Renee Elrod of Toney. His grandsons are Austin Christopher Elrod and Tyler Scott Elrod Hilliard.

He is also survived by his mother, Marie Bowers Elrod and siblings, Charles Elrod and Tommy Elrod, both of Athens, Michelle Davis of Tallahassee, Fla., Roger Elrod of Athens, Allen Elrod of Tanner, and their families.

Visitation with the family will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Madison Chapel Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow in Faith Memorial Cemetery in Madison.



Joshua Robert Guthrie

A graveside service for Joshua Robert Wayne Guthrie, 19, of Elkmont, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Reunion Cemetery with Steve Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be from 6-9 tonight at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.

Mr. Guthrie died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at his residence.

He was employed by Andy Guthrie Home Builders as a carpenter. He was born Dec. 31, 1986, to Thomas Wayne Guthrie and Lisa Ann Going Guthrie in Huntsville.

He is survived by his mother, Lisa Pack of Huntsville; girlfriend, Crystal Miller of Elkmont; sisters Meagan Leigh Guthrie of Elkmont and Sarah Marie Pack of Huntsville; one niece, Alyiesiea Vega of Elkmont; grandparents, Carol Glass of Scottsboro, Red Glass of Scottsboro, James Robert Going of Huntsville and Nancy Going of Huntsville; two uncles, Kevin Guthrie and aunt Tammy of Elkmont and Andy Guthrie of Lester; step-father, Terry Pack of Huntsville; and step-mother, Carol Guthrie of Scottsboro.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Wayne Guthrie; grandfather, Lloyd Wayne Guthrie; and uncle James Harold Guthrie.



Ethel Elizabeth Hardy

A graveside service for Ethel Elizabeth Hardy, 89, of Athens, will be at 11 a.m. today at Roselawn Cemetery with Bob Walden officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. today at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.

Ms. Hardy died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Athens Convalescent Center.



Susan Kay Lewis

The funeral for Susan Kay Lewis, 39, of Athens, will be announced by Spry Funeral Home. Lewis died Thursday, July 13, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital.



David White

David White, 75, of Lester, died Thursday, July 13, 2006 at his residence. Arrangements will be announced at a later date by Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
