Vina Mae Cain

The funeral for Vina Mae Cain, 80, of Madison, will be at 1 p.m. today at Word of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Athens, with Mason Funeral Home directing and the Rev. Willie J. Mangruen officiating. Burial will be in Thatch Amany Cemetery, Athens.

Mrs. Cain died Friday, April 21, 2006, at home.



Jeffrey Haggermaker

The funeral arrangements for Jeffrey Haggermaker, 43, of Athens, will be announced by McConnell Funeral Home.

Mr. Haggermaker died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.



Louise Richardson

The funeral for Mildred Louise Richardson, 76, of Killen, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home with Glenn Murks officiating. Burial will be in Barnett Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Richardson died Monday, April 24, 2006, at home.



Mary Katherine Monk

The funeral for Mary Katherine Monk, 72, of Athens, will be today at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Greene officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Monk died Sunday, April 23, 2006, at University of Alabama Birmingham Medical Center.



Allan McRossie Qualls

The funeral for Allan McRossie Qualls, 78, of Athens, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McConnell Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Bassham and Dr. Glenn Conner officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with Masonic rites.

Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Qualls died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at home.

He was born Feb. 20, 1928, in Smith County, Tenn. He was educated at The University of Tennessee. He retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority nuclear program as a manager after 36 years. He was a Navy veteran and a member of First United Methodist Church of Athens, TVA Retirees, Kingston Union Lodge no. 38 FAM and Scottish Rite.

He is survived by his wife, Sharlene Arnold Qualls; three daughters, Deborah Barnett and husband David of Decatur, Brenda Kaye Qualls of Norton, Va., and Diana Downs and husband Tommy of Athens; one son, David Qualls of Jackson County; six sisters; one brother; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Sanford Qualls; his mother, Susan Catherine Poston Qualls; and his brother, Jason Ray Qualls.

Pallbearers will be Nick Adams, David Barnett, Torrey Downs, Tommy Downs, Justin Qualls, Jonathan Qualls, Heath Patterson, and Gerry Sansone.

Instead of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County, P.O. Box 626, Athens, Ala., 35612.



Clara Mae Perry

The funeral for Clara Mae Perry, 73, of Ardmore, will be announced later in Indiana.

Mrs. Perry died Monday, April 24, 2006, in Hillside Hospital in Pulaski, Tenn.

Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.





James Bernard Sanders

The funeral for James Bernard Sanders, 41, of Huntsville, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at New Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church with Larry Lockett officiating. Royal Funeral Home in Huntsville will be directing. Burial will be in Thatch Amany Cemetery.

Mr. Sanders died Thursday, April 20, 2006, at home.
