Donald Anderson

The graveside service for Donald Anderson, 96, of Prospect, Tenn., will be at 2 p.m. today at Bethel Cemetery in Prospect with Wade West officiating and Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Anderson died Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at Hillside Hospital in Pulaski, Tenn.



James A. Phillips

Funeral arrangements for James A. Phillips, 73, of Athens, will be announced by Spry Funeral Home of Athens.

Mr. Phillips died Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital.



Carol Jane Smith

The funeral for Carol Jane Smith, 40, of Elkmont, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Mike Davis and Dusty Mclemore officiating. Burial will be in Hardin Methodist Cemetery in Hardin County, Texas at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Visitation will be from 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith died Monday, April 17, 2006, at her residence.

She was employed at 3M in Decatur for more than 12 years.

She was preceded in death by one brother, William Horton.

She is survived by one son, John Cody Hargrove and his wife, Holly Marie, of Athens; her parents, Charles Horton of Savannah, Tenn., and Eva Horton of Ardmore; one granddaughter Anna Grace Hargrove of Athens; two sisters Jessica Jackson of Woodbridge, Va., and Sue Horton of Ardmore; two nieces, Amanda Jean Jackson and Casie Lashae Motter; and two nephews, Jory Ray Jackson and James Haden Clark.

Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Beshears, Haden Clark, James ‘Bubba’ Campbell Jr., and David Jeanes Jr.



Mary Catherine Wray

The funeral for Mary Catherine Wray, 89, of Athens will be at 11 a.m. today at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. James Adams and Bro. Patrick Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Pettusville Cemetery.

Mrs. Wray died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at home. She was a member of the Baptist faith and was well known for her beautiful quilts and crafts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wray; her parents, Floyd and Vallie Mae Davis; one daughter, Anna Justine Abernathy; and one brother, William Thomas Davis.

She is survived by two daughters, Donnie Bedwell of Ardmore, and Connie Harris and husband Roy of Athens; one son, Carlos Wray and wife Lynda, of Athens; one grandson, Anthony Hasting and wife Joy of Hartselle; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Kim Abernathy, Kellie Abernathy, Cathy Pritchett, Sylvia Collins, Beverly Shelton, Maggie Engle, Jessica Bush and Rachel Day.
