Flora B. Cadman

The funeral for Flora B. Cadman, 74, of Athens, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Daniel Metcalf and David Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.

Mrs. Cadman died Monday, April 10, 2006.

She was a member of the Baptist church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verl C. Cadman.

Survivors include one daughter, Pamela Lake and husband Ronald of Atlanta; two sons, Tommy Cadman of New Port News, Va., and Timothy K. Cadman and wife Wilsolene of Decatur; grandchildren Lane Marks of Athens, Kellie Jo Marks of Huntsville, Veronica Lake of Atlanta, Mackenzie Cadman and Seth Cadman, both of Virginia Beach, Va., and Tiffany B. Waldrup of Huntsville; one sister, Ester Laxson of Athens; three brothers, Roy Johnson of Johnson City, Tenn., Plaise Johnson of Memphis, Tenn., and J.T. Johnson of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dwight Mooneyhan, Jared Lewis, Tony Colquett, Melvin Laxson, Michael Laxson, Granville Cribbs and Larry Parvin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a favorite charity.



Lamar Woolsey McLeod

A memorial service for Lamar Woolsey McLeod, 85, of Athens, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles Alookaren officiating. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Mr. McLeod died Sunday, April 9, 2006, at home.

Spry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.



Kriston ‘Lu Lu’ Morell

The funeral for Kriston ‘Lu Lu’ Morell, 14, of Ardmore, will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with Harry Lincoln officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Miss. Morell died Monday, April 10, 2006, in Huntsville.



Joan Elizabeth Siler

Joan Elizabeth Siler, 44, of Douglasville, Ga., passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2006. She was born March 14, 1962, in San Diego, Calif. Ms. She was in office management for Bliss Products. She was a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and a former participant in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk.

Survivors include: her father Bernard J. Siler Sr. and Sue Siler of Lake Worth, Fla.; mother, Rosa Siler of Athens; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Annette Siler of Douglasville, Ga., John and Michele Siler of Adel, Ga., and George and Sharon Siler of Green Acres, Fla.; and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, April 22. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. in Rosehaven Chapel, 8640 Rose Avenue, Douglasville, Ga., with Pastor Jim Whittle officiating.

The family requests that memorials be given to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, 500 NE Spanish River Road, Boca Raton, Fla., 33431 or Habitat for Humanity.



Bonnie Sullivan

Bonnie Sullivan, 73, of Peoria, Ill., died Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at her daughter Nancy Hicks’ home in Athens.

The funeral will be in Peoria, Ill. McConnell Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
