Lady Warhawks split with Bevill

DECATUR — Tanner’s Kala Weatherly and Athens’ Lacey Keenum each came up with triples Thursday to help the Calhoun Lady Warhawks bounce back from their first division loss of the year with a 7-6 win over Bevill State in the second game of a doubleheader at Wilson Morgan Park.
Bevill won the first game 11-0.
In the second game, Alicia Hall worked a strong 6 innings before Breanna Lee came on to squelch a Bevill rally in the seventh inning.
Weatherly drove in three runs with her triple, and Keenum drove in one. Brittany Norton led Calhoun with two singles.
In the first game, Rachael Carden’s double was Calhoun’s biggest hit. Weatherly, Lee and Lindsey Lowery added singles.
