The News Courier will publish, free of charge, death notices including the name, age and city of residence of the deceased, date and place of death, and time and place of funeral services and visitation.

Family members now may express themselves in a eulogy, list survivors and give detailed biographical information about the deceased in a paid obituary. The News Courier will accept these paid items from the family, funeral directors, or other individuals. Paid obituaries may include a photo at no extra charge.

If a published obituary contains an error, The News Courier will reprint a corrected obituary at no charge, provided the error was ours. The News Courier does not issue refunds on obituary announcements.

Bobby Wayne Barnett Sr.

The funeral for Bobby Wayne Barnett Sr., 57, of Anderson, was at 2 p.m. Monday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Leslie Bagsby and Scott Pepper officiating. Burial was in Apostolic Christian Cemetery.

Mr. Barnett died Saturday, April 1, 2006, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.

Louise Coggin Ferguson

The funeral for Louise Coggin Ferguson, 88, of Athens, formerly of Ardmore, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ardmore Funeral Home with Dr. Ray Stonecypher officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ferguson died Sunday, April 2, 2006, at Athens Convalescent Center.

James “Dan” Norman

The funeral for James “Dan” Norman, 48, of Decatur, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Roselawn Chapel in Decatur with Rick Lowery officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Norman died Monday, April 3, 2006, at home.



Grady Franklin Craig

Funeral arrangements for Grady Franklin Craig, 84, of Athens, will be announced by Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Mr. Craig died Monday, April 3, 2006, at Athens Convalescent Center.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.



Shelby Wayne Southard



A memorial service for Shelby Wayne Southard, 51, of Laceys Spring will be a 7 p.m. Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home in Huntsville with Larry Knight officiating.

Visitation will be from 5-7 Wednesday night at the funeral home.

Mr. Southard died Saturday, April 1, 2006, at Jackson-Madison General Hospital in Jackson, Tenn.
