MADISON – Ryan Woods scored 15 points, and Wesley Guthrie added 12 Tuesday night as Elkmont advanced to the semifinals of the Class 3A, Area 15 Tournament with a 64-38 win over of Randolph in the first round at Madison Academy.

Now the Red Devils take on the host Mustangs, who Elkmont head coach Steve Britton believes is as good as any team in the state.

“They are probably going to be the state champions,” Britton said. “They are a very good team.”

Corey Bell and Sam Barr had nine points apiece for Randolph.
