Though severe weather can strike any time of the year, North Alabama’s best chance for seeing tornadoes usually occurs from March through May. Ahead of that period, the Limestone County Emergency Management Agency and the National Weather Service in Huntsville will again be offering a free course in storm spotter training.
The class will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the Limestone County Event Center. Those who complete the course will be certified storm spotters and should leave with the knowledge of how to recognize a tornado’s characteristics.
