ATHENS —
Athens residents not afraid of a little, cold rain participated in a Mardi Gras parade hosted by Athens State University through the Center for Lifelong Learning on Marion Street Tuesday afternoon.
Wet weather did not stop a small crowd from gathering one block in front of the Courthouse to catch beads thrown by the marchers, some friends with the college and others members of the art department.
The theme of the parade was ‘Alice in Voodoo Land.’
