The Council on Aging foundation board is once again sponsoring the community annual Bean Day.
This year Bean Day will be conducted from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center on Hobbs Street in Athens.
The menu includes white beans, slaw, cornbread, onions, dessert and drink for $6.
Contact Jennifer at Council on Aging at 256-233-6412 for ticket information. If more than 10 tickets are purchased, meals can be delivered on request.
