Bill Davis Jr. is an advocate of pulled pork and pistol permits.
Beginning today, the Athens barbecue restaurateur is offering a $1 discount to customers who present their pistol permit when ordering at Hickory Barn Bar-B-Que at 10047 U.S. 72 West.
The offer isn’t just a cheap appeal for customers, Davis is an authentic proponent of concealed weapon laws.
“There are a lot of law-abiding people who carry a pistol, and it would be nice to appreciate some of them,” Davis told The News Courier Wednesday. “We thought it would be a little something different to do to promote folks to get them a pistol permit.
