Cinemagic Theatre in Athens is changing the movie-going experience. For the better.
Moviegoers can now see the magic of the big silver screen the way producers intended.
Owners Ralph and Carlene Freehauf have converted Cinemagic’s drive-in and five auditoriums, which feature stadium seating, into a state-of-the-art cinema by going digital.
Celluloid film is no more for the business that started as a “drive-in under the stars” in 1997 and an indoor theatre in May 2006.
Manager Mack Bullard, who has been in the industry for 25 years, said going digital — first and foremost — keeps the local theatre alive.
