Wayne and JoAnn Pitts of Tanner announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Leigh Pitts of Tanner to Brandon Lee Adair of Woodville, son of Joe and Georgia Adair of Woodville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Rufus and Hetty Pitts, and the late Billy Jones.
She is a 1999 graduate of Tanner High School and a 2003 graduate of the University of Alabama Huntsville, where she received a bachelor’s degree in computer science and math. She is employed by The Boeing Company as a software engineer.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Clinton and Lorene Adair, and the late Walter and Lillian Branum.
He is a 2002 graduate of Kate Duncan Smith DAR High School, and a 2006 graduate of Athens State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He is currently pursuing a master’s in clinical psychology from Alabama A&M.; He is employed by Cedar Lodge in Guntersville as an inpatient counselor.
The wedding is planned for May 22, 2010, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Athens.
