Mr. Athens High School 2008 is William Ming, son of Bill and Susan Ming.
Miss Athens High School 2008 is Emilee Elkins, daughter of Talbot and Michelle Elkins.
These two students were recognized during pre-game ceremonies of the Athens vs. Brooks High School game.
Nominated by their senior classmates, the chosen students must then meet the qualifications set by the Student Council.
This senior honor is contingent upon the student's service to school and to community, his or her academic standing, which must be a 90 average or above, the leadership skills which have been displayed in those areas of association with fellow students, and characteristics which make them respected by students and faculty.
The student body then elects the students who are the most qualified for this honor.
