BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Birmingham school officials say a two Woodlawn High School students have been arrested in the shooting of another Woodlawn student just after she got off a school bus.
The Birmingham News reports that police say the girl was involved in an altercation with another person at the bus stop Tuesday afternoon.
Birmingham police spokesman Sgt. Johnny Williams says the girl was taken to UAB Hospital by Birmingham firefighters.
Her name was not released, but Birmingham city schools spokeswoman Michaelle Chapman said Wednesday she was recovering at the hospital.
