Auto supplier Newman Technology coming to Albertville

— ALBERTVILLE, Ala. (AP) — Auto parts supplier Newman Technology has broken ground on a $15 million factory in Albertville that will employ some 60 workers.

The company supplies parts to the Honda Manufacturing of Alabama plant in Lincoln and will begin production in its new facility in 2013. It makes door sashes and exhaust components for Honda, Acura and Subaru.

Gov. Robert Brantley said in a statement that he was glad Alabama's government played a role in attracting the firm. It's the company's first plant in Alabama.
