Teen critically injured in shooting at fish camp

BAY MINETTE, Ala. (AP) — A high school volleyball star from south Alabama was in critical condition after being wounded by gunfire at a fish camp.

Baldwin County sheriff's officials tell The Press-Register (http://bit.ly/Iq5zxo) that 17-year-old Summer Moody was shot around 4 a.m. Sunday on Gravine Island in the Mobile River Delta.

Baldwin County sheriff's Maj. Anthony Lowery said Moody and three other juveniles had gone to the island by boat and encountered three men from Mobile who were staying at the fish camp. Lowery says one of the men opened fire, wounding Moody.

The three other male juveniles who were with Moody were taken to the Baldwin County Juvenile Detention Center. Authorities say they've been charged with third-degree burglary.

Lowery said the three men at the fish camp were held for questioning and released.
