MOBILE, Ala. (AP) — A Mississippi man has been arrested in Mobile as a suspect in an October slaying.
FBI spokesman Carl Sanford said Jermaine Zachery Sims was arrested without incident on Thursday afternoon.
Sims, 39-year-old Myron Johnson and 18-year-old Spencer Lawrence have all been charged with capital murder in the Oct. 5 shooting death of Jermaine Jebon “J.J.” Kelly.
The 35-year-old Kelly was found at his grandmother’s Moss Point home with three gunshot wounds to his upper body.
U.S. Marshals arrested Johnson on Dec. 3 in Tampa, Fla. Lawrence was apprehended in Lucedale by George County Deputies on Nov. 25.
The Press-Register reports Sims was being held Thursday night in Mobile Metro Jail pending his extradition to Mississippi.
