NTSB to release report in Ala. school bus crash

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — The National Transportation Safety Board has announced it will release its final report on a school bus crash that killed four high school students in Huntsville in 2006.

Spokesman Ted Lopatkiewicz said the report will be released Thursday.

Bus driver Anthony Scott was taking 40 students to a technology center in downtown Huntsville on November 20, 2006 when the bus collided with a car driven by Lee High student Tony Williams, who was also headed to the tech center.

The collision occurred on an Interstate 565 highway overpass and sent the bus careening into a concrete barrier. It then went over the barrier and nose-dived nearly 30 feet onto a street below.

Killed were 16-year-old Christine Collier; 17-year-old Tanesha Estella Hill; 17-year-old Crystal McCrary; and 19-year-old Nicole Ford.
