MOBILE, Ala. (AP) — A baby girl was born just hours after her mother, father and two sisters were among five people injured in a three-vehicle crash in south Mobile County.
David Corry, the 21-year-old father, said Caylynn was born Saturday about a month before her due date.
Corry is recovering from injuries at USA Medical Center. His wife, 22-year-old Ashley Droege, and baby daughter remained at USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital in fair condition.
Their other two daughters, ages 3 and 4, were also injured. Both were released from the hospital. Troopers say a 17-year-old driver was under the influence of a drug when he struck the rear of another car stopped in the northbound lane. The impact pushed the car into the path of Corry’s pickup, which was going south.
