OZARK, Ala. (AP) — Authorities in Dale County say a man charged with the capital murder of a Level Plains man had met the 43-year-old victim at least once before the killing.
Jarmon Demetrius Barrow is charged with capital murder. The Dothan Eagle reports that Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson says the 23-year-old Barrow is believed to have used a 9 mm handgun to kill 43-year-old Marcus Blackmon on Sunday during an invasion of Blackmon’s residence.
Authorities say Barrow and two other men entered the residence demanding the location of drugs and money. Olson says there is no evidence they took anything.
Olson says another man is in custody for questioning, and investigators are looking for at least one more.
