— MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Police in Montgomery say two teens suspected in a home invasion robbery have been arrested in the death of their 20-year-old accomplice who was fatally shot during the incident.
The Montgomery Advertiser (http://on.mgmadv.com/10DUZut ) reports 19-year-old Keyon Butler and a 17-year-old boy were arrested Wednesday, and have been charged with robbery and murder in the death of 20-year-old Deandre Robertson.
Although police have identified the 17-year-old suspect, the Associated Press typically does not identify juvenile crime suspects.
Police say the three were involved in a Jan. 13 home invasion robbery and a homeowner shot Robertson in self-defense.
Because Robertson was killed during the commission of a robbery, state law allows his accomplices to be charged in his death.
It is unclear if Butler and the juvenile suspect have lawyers.
