Florence woman accused of punching nurse over meds

— FLORENCE, Ala. (AP) — Florence police have arrested a woman who's accused of punching a nurse who refused to give her pain medicine.

Investigators say 31-year-old Sheray Denise Taylor entered the Bone and Joint Clinic in Florence requesting stronger medication for pain on Monday.

Police say the nurse was shoved and punched after refusing to provide the medicine.

Officers say the woman was still irate when they arrived. WAAY-TV (http://bit.ly/TddkwI ) reports that police arrested Taylor on charges of assault and disorderly conduct.

Taylor was being held at the Lauderdale County jail. Court records aren't yet available to show whether Taylor has hired a lawyer.
