Man pleads guilty to fatal DUI crash

— PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP)  An Alabama man has pleaded guilty to a drunken fatal crash in the Florida Panhandle.

Robert Koroly, of Gulf Shores, Ala., pleaded guilty in Escambia County Monday to DUI manslaughter and DUI with serious bodily injury. The 30-year-old faces up to 20 years in prison at his March 21 sentencing.

Authorities say Koroly was driving his Jeep the wrong way on a Pensacola highway in May when he crashed head-on into a vehicle driven by 55-year-old Johnny Robinson. The collision left Robinson dead. The driver behind Robinson, 26-year-old Clarence Jordan, was injured in the crash.

Blood tests showed Koroly had a blood alcohol content of 0.166 and 0.167. State law considers a driver impaired at 0.08.
