— ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (AP) — Authorities say an Alabama man was killed when a crossbow in the backseat of his car discharged.
Investigators tell WKRG-TV the accident that killed 24-year-old Cade Davis happened Saturday night in south Baldwin County.
Baldwin County Coroner Stan Vinson tells WALA-TV that the arrow traveled through his back and pierced his chest.
Funeral services will be held at Jubilee Baptist Church in Daphne at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Davis was a Daphne High School graduate.
Her lawyers have said Arias is the only witness they'll call to testify on her behalf.
As the sun rose over the shattered community of Moore, the state medical examiner's office cut the estimated death toll by more than half but warned that the number was likely to climb again.
In his first public remarks since the story broke, Douglas Shulman said: "I agree this is an issue that when someone spotted it, they should have brought it up the chain. And they didn't. I don't know why."
The $30 million measure was among $280 million in bond measures awaiting legislative action.
