Man dies when crossbow discharges in his car

— ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (AP) — Authorities say an Alabama man was killed when a crossbow in the backseat of his car discharged.

Investigators tell WKRG-TV the accident that killed 24-year-old Cade Davis happened Saturday night in south Baldwin County.

Baldwin County Coroner Stan Vinson tells WALA-TV that the arrow traveled through his back and pierced his chest.

Funeral services will be held at Jubilee Baptist Church in Daphne at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Davis was a Daphne High School graduate.
