ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (AP) — Orange Beach police have arrested a 54-year-old man in connection with a road rage shooting of a McCalla man.
The Press-Register (http://bit.ly/NWOaQL ) reports that Steven Emory Pinson of Ono was arrested Thursday in the shooting of 44-year-old Damon Alan Hembree, who was shot in the chest.
Police believe Hembree was shot with a .38-caliber pistol. Hembree was taken to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola.
Police Chief Billy Wilkins says police are seeking an attempted murder charge against Pinson.
Police say Pinson pulled in front of Hembree — who was driving below the speed limit — and cut him off, then slammed on his brakes.
Police say when both vehicles reached the intersection near the public beach, Hembree exited his car, walked to Pinson's truck and both had an argument before Hembree was shot.
