— HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) — Enthusiasts of electric plug-in cars are promoting the vehicles in Huntsville.
Plug-in owners are planning to attend a local gathering Sunday that's part of "National Plug In Day" at Redstone Energy Demonstration Park.
The founder of the Tennessee Valley EV Drivers group, Joshua Pritt, told The Huntsville Times (http://bit.ly/RPfQGC ) that there are just over a dozen plug-in cars on the road in Madison County. But there are problems. Few public charging stations exist in the area.
Those attending the local event will be able to test drive plug-in electric vehicles from Nissan, GM, Mitsubishi and Fisker.
