— CULLMAN, Ala. (AP) Alabama State Troopers have charged a Cullman man with driving under the influence following an accident in Vinemont that claimed the life of an 8-year-old Kentucky girl.
Troopers said Monday that 45-year-old Kenneth Burns was arrested following the Friday night accident.
Trooper public information officer Curtis Somerville says the investigation will continue, and information will be turned over to the Cullman County district attorney's office.
The accident occurred on U.S. 31 at about 9:45 p.m. on Friday. Hayley Ryan of Louisville, Ky., was pronounced dead later that night.
