VENTURA, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say an intruder barged into a Southern California beach home and fatally stabbed a man and his pregnant wife in front of their 9-year-old son.
The boy and his 11-year-old sister, who was asleep in another room, were not injured.
Sheriff’s Capt. Ross Bonfiglio says the intruder entered the expensive Ventura County house in unincorporated Faria Beach through a sliding-glass door Tuesday night and repeatedly stabbed Brock and Davina Husted. Investigators don’t think the family knew the intruder.
The Husteds were both 42 years old. Sheriff’s Capt. Bruce Norris says Davina Husted was four to five months pregnant.
No arrests have been made.
