MOULTON, Ala. (AP) — A husband and wife have been accused of forcing a teenage girl to participate in sex acts over a two-year period.
Lawrence County Sheriff Gene Mitchell said 51-year-old Darrell Wells and 41-year-old Pamela Wells, both of Trinity, were arrested Thursday evening.
Darrell Wells faces rape and sodomy charges. Pamela Wells was charged with a single count of sodomy.
Sheriff’s officials said the investigation started in Dec. after the teen’s mother reported the allegations. Mitchell said the alleged sex acts occurred at the couple’s home.
The Wells’ were released from custody on separate bonds totaling $90,000 and $60,000.
