Freshman DaNeshia Malone helped pace the Clements High girls basketball team to a 63-17 win over East Limestone Tuesday night in their home opener.
Malone scored 14 points, grabbed nine rebounds and recorded five blocks. Carson Gafford netted 13 points for the Lady Colts, followed by Callie Estes who added 11 points. Chelsea Haggermaker had eight rebounds while Jessica Petty and Summer Kirk each had six assists.
Meanwhile, in boys action, the Indians defeated the Colts 61-50.
London Brandon led East Limestone in scoring with 23 points. Mario Matthews contributed with 14 points. For Clements Brandon Sanderfer had 21 points and five rebounds. Devante Williams chipped in with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Clements hosts Lauderdale County Friday night while East Limestone plays host to Hazel Green.
