ABS advances to championship game
Athens Bible's volleyball team is one step closer to capturing their first volleyball title in 20 years.
The fifth-ranked Lady Trojans defeated Gaston 3-1 (18-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-20) Wednesday night after deadline in the semifinals of the Class 1A state volleyball tournament.
With the win, Athens Bible advances to take on Providence Christian at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the championship game. Look for more in Friday's edition of The News Courier.
