The News Courier wants to publish photos that show your team spirit. We encourage parents, students and faculty to submit images from all local high schools to publish in the newspaper and on our Web site in the high school football section, Crunch.
Send photos of bands, cheerleaders, pep rallies, fans, or players to photographer Kim Rynders at kim@athensnews-courier.com. Photos may be from games, of students preparing for games, or of spirit decorations at the school.
In addition, The News Courier will publish amateur photos of fans from the University of Alabama, Auburn University and other area colleges on our At Play photo page on Sundays.
General amateur photos — featuring family trips, local scenery, children playing, etc. — may be submitted for publication on our Scene photo page each Sunday.
Send At Play or Scene photos to Kim Rynders at kim@athensnews-courier.com or to Managing Editor Kelly Kazek at kelly@athensnews-courier.com or by U.S. mail to 410 W. Green St., Athens, Ala., 35611.
Submission guidelines: Photos must not have been taken by a professional photographer. Images should be e-mailed as .jpg attachments. Photos smaller than 5 inches and with a resolution lower than 170 dpi generally will not publish well and may not be accepted. Send only one or two photos per e-mail to avoid bounce-back.
Please do not send prints of irreplaceable photos.
