Feton awarded TVA scholarship

Scott Fenton, a 2009 graduate of Athens High School, was recently awarded a college scholarship of up to $25,000 from TVA. He is among 16 scholarship winners chosen by TVA this year.

Fenton, son of Stephanie and Jeff Fenton, is employed at TVA Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant. He plans to study human resources at Samford University in Birmingham.

Fenton was class salutatorian, Most Likely to Succeed, spelling champion and tutor, and members of Beta Club and jazz band. He also received first place in sculpture an third place in creative writing contests.
