Louise Thacker, 75, of Athens passed away Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at ECM Hospital in Florence. She was born Sept. 10, 1934, in Lauderdale County, to Andrew Jackson and Stella Mae Echols Stark.
The service will be at 3 p.m. today at Union Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The body will lie in state from 2 until 3 p.m.
Burial will be in Evans Cemetery, and Chuck Hood officiating.
Mrs. Thacker was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Billy Gene Thacker. She was a member of Union Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Thacker was retired after 35 years service as head teller at Regions Bank in Athens.
Survived by, one daughter, Debbie Kelley and husband Mike of Killen; two grandchildren, Kristen Kelley Stowers and husband Josh of Cherry Grove, and Kayla Kelley of Killen; one sister, Edith Ridgeway of Athens; one brother, James Stark of Athens; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tim Stark, Ricky Ridgeway, Glen Thornton, Kobin Thacker, Mike Thacker, Justin Ridgeway, Ronnie Ridgeway and Marc Johnson.
