Bobby Wallace

— The funeral for Bobby Whitt Wallace, 52, of Athens will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at McConnell Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Colwell  officiating. Burial will be at Concord Cemetery in Hazel Green.

Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the funeral home.

Mr. Wallace passed away Friday Feb. 8, 2013, at home.

Bobby Wallace was born Dec. 17, 1960, in Huntsville to George Menford and Madie Ashby Wallace. Mr. Wallace was a retired roofing contractor. He loved fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a big Alabama fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant son, Bobby Wallace Jr.; wife, Carol Hill Wallace; three brothers, Jackie, Edward and David Wallace; and one sister, Linda Wallace.

Survivors include his four sons, Jonathan, Josh and Patrick Hill, all of Athens, and Don Ryan of Huntsville; two daughters, Amber Wallace and Amanda Hill, both of Athens; four brothers, Albert Wallace, Tom Wallace and wife Christie, all of Athens, Walter Wallace and wife Vickie of Huntsville, Herman Wallace and wife Tanya of Lawrence County; three sisters, Sally Malone and husband John of Toney, Mary Osborn and husband Charlie of Lawrence County, Sara Wallace and husband Bob of California; three grandchildren, Destiny, Kylie and Braxton.

Pallbearers are Walter Wallace Jr., Matt Wallace, Eric Wallace, Walt Wallace, Nick Wallace, Tim Wallace, Brandon Osborn and Johnny Malone.
