Beverly Swesey

— The funeral for Beverly Denise Swesey, 51, of Belle Mina will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McConnell Funeral Home with Dr. Gary Peters officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Swesey passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Huntsville Hospital.

Beverly Swesey was born Oct. 17, 1961, in Limestone County to Donald Sparks and Camella Green Sparks. She graduated from Tanner High School. She received her hotel and business management certificate from Calhoun College and worked in sales and marketing for various hotel chains.

After years in the hotel industry, she decided to become a stay at home “Nannie” to spend some fun times with her grandbabies playing out on the patio, next door at her parents’ house.

She was preceded in death by her precious grandmother Bertha Green and her grandfather Lessie Green, grandmother Louise Sparks and grandfather Archie Sparks. Survivors include her husband of 13 years, Dean Swesey; mother, Camella Sparks; father, Donald Sparks; three daughters, Jennifer Houston and husband Butch, Jessica Kirby and husband Shaun, and Jamie Wilbanks; one stepson, David Swesey and wife Brandy; five grandchildren, Christian Swesey, Ella Kirby, Jackson Houston, Jillian Segars and Brody Kirby; three stepgrandchildren, Serenity Swesey, Carter Swesey and Amber Swesey.

Pallbearers are Frank Brown, Levene Green, Carlton Brown, Tony Green, David Swesey and Michael Root.
