Coy Alvis Rochester, 80, of Athens passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Mr. Rochester was born June 27, 1932, in Leoma, Tenn., to Cecil Grady Rochester and Bertha Daly Rochester. He was a charter member of Friendship Methodist Church, and a Korean War veteran.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lochiel Newton.
The funeral for Mr. Rochester is at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Limestone Memorial Gardens with Calvin Havens officiating.
Visitation is from noon until 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Rochester of Athens; daughters, Pat McDougal and husband Brad of Brownsville, Ky., and Susan Lauderdale and husband Dee of Madison; brother, Bill Rochester and wife Glenda of Columbia, Tenn.; sister, Brenda Kiddy and husband Jerry of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; grandchildren, Elizabeth McDougal, Savanna Lauderdale and Sara Lauderdale; and great-grandchild, Jack Swayne.
