Hollis Vuren Nave, 82, of Athens passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at home.
Mr. Nave was born Feb. 20, 1930, in Limestone County to Benjamin Nave and Clara Campbell Nave.
The funeral for Mr. Nave was at 2 p.m. Monday at Sardis Springs Baptist Church. Burial was in Sardis Spring Cemetery with Tim Keenum officiating. Visitation was from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.
Limestone Chapel Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ruth Nave; son, Roger Nave; daughter, Deborah Putman; brother, Ed Nave; sister, Margaret Prichard; granddaughters, Lauren Putman, Jennifer Nave and Lesley Nave; great-grandchildren, Madison Nave, Montana Nave, Ashland Nave and Benjamin Marbut; and daughter-in-law, Donna Nave.
Pallbearers were Lawrence Holt, Joe Bailey, Bert Putman, Billy Ackerman, Lynn Haynes and Jerry Long.
