The funeral for Johnny Dalton Russ, 69, of Ardmore will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Spry Funeral Home with Doug Colwell officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Russ died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at home.
Johnny Russ was born Dec. 8, 1942, in Limestone County. He was a retired carpenter, and a U.S. Army veteran. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard Russ and Earline Russ Dollar; brother, Harold Russ; sister, Brenda Tyler; and brothers-in-law, Donnie Clemons and Glen Tyler.
Survivors include his daughter, Misty Thigpen and husband Brad of Ardmore; son, Junior Russ and wife Kerri of Corinth, Miss.; grandchildren, Renae Morris and Michelle Morris, both of Iuka, Miss., Cody Russ and Brandon Russ, both of Corinth; step-grandchildren, Ivy Thigpen and Peyton Thigpen, both of Ardmore; sisters, Beatrice Clemons, Ann Clemons and Connie Russ, all of Athens, and Patsy Adams of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; brothers, Danny Russ of Athens, Shufford Russ of Wanee, Fla., and Billy Jean Russ of Norman, Okla.
Pallbearers are Roger Adams, Roy Gilley, Pete Gilley, Scotty Butler, Cody Landers and Brian Clemons.
