A graveside service for Robert Harwell Elmore, 78, of Athens will be at 2 p.m. today at Athens City Cemetery with Gary Anderson officiating and Spry Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Elmore died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born July 26, 1932, in Limestone County. He was a retired contractor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Lois Lucille Elmore; one daughter, Juanette Van Emmerik; three brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, June Riddle Elmore of Athens; one son, Tim Elmore of San José, Calif.; three granddaughters, Erica Van Emmerik of Los Angeles, Caitlin J. Van Emmerik and Anna Van Emmerik, both of McKinleyville, Calif.; one sister, Mary Hogan of Selma, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
