Nella Gean Philpot, 79, of Athens passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at NHC Place in Franklin, Tenn.
Miss Philpot was born Aug. 23, 1933, in Lincoln County, Tenn., to John B. Philpot and Ruth Smith Philpot.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Gatlin Cemetery with Mike Davis officiating. Visitation is from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
Miss Philpot was a member of Crieve Hall Church of Christ in Nashville, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruth Philpot; five brothers, John Philpot, Andrew Philpot, Sim Philpot, Benton Philpot and Lester Philpot; six sisters, Laurene Philpot, Willadean Philpot, Annie Atkinson, Louise Philpot, Virginia Philpot and Matilda Philpot.
Survivors include a sister, Hazel Philpot Rupp of Elkmont and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Rupp, Christopher Nye, Jacob Rupp, Ronnie Bailey, Lawrence Nye and Timothy Nye.
