The graveside service for Charles Levoyd Morring, 80, of Athens will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Pleas Mount Cemetery in Gurley with the Rev. Kevin Johnson officiating and Spry Funeral Home in Athens directing.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until noon Monday at Spry Funeral Home.
Mr. Morring died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Huntsville Hospital.
Charles Morring was born June 7, 1932, in Gurley. He was a retired electronic technician and a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nolen C. Morring and Katie L. Morring.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Raye Morring of Athens; son, Charles L. Morring Jr. and wife Patricia of Florence; stepson, Luke Fair of Gadsden; sisters, Kathryn Barnett and husband Jonny of Gurley, and Ann Jaggers and husband Howard of Sheffield; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Peggy Hughey of Lascassas, Tenn.; and six nieces.
