Edna Earl Casteel, 81, of Athens, passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at her residence. Mrs. Casteel was born Feb. 4, 1931, in Limestone County to Rome Hill and Emma Howell Hill.
Services for Mrs. Casteel are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon to 1:45 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with Bobby Marks officiating.
She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Casteel; son, Jim Casteel; and sister, Minnie Long.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Melvin Casteel; sisters, Lena Casteel, Tommie Adams, Margaret Taylor, Birtha Hill, Florence Long and Myrtle Hill; and brothers, Elwood Hill, Leonard Hill and Gilbert Hill.
