The funeral service for Annie May Campbell, 93, of Athens will be 2 p.m. Friday at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Justin Blankenship officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Athens.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Campbell died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Annie May Campbell was born Nov. 11, 1918, in Hazel Green to Frank and Purnie Coats Hambrick. She was a member of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Campbell was a former employee of Athens State College and was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bailes V. Campbell; son, James B. Campbell; eight sisters; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
She is survived by her two sons, Sidney Campbell and Donnie L. Campbell, both of Athens; two daughters, Martha “Susie” Hagood of Priceville and Betty Ann Campbell Ledlow of Decatur; sisters, Hazel Bennett and Juanita Lanier, both of Vicksburg, Miss., and Stella Pearl Morris of Rough and Ready, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dewayne Campbell, Randy Campbell, Barry Campbell, Jeff Campbell and LeDon Campbell.
