— David Buford Epperson, 27, died Friday June 15, 2012, in Colton, Calif.

He was a victim of a hit-and-run accident on Wednesday June 13, 2012, in Victorville, Calif.

David was born Nov. 30, 1984, in Sumter, S.C.

Survivors include his parents, Deborah Sue Epperson of Athens and Paul James Epperson of Richmond, Va.; brother, Garrett James Epperson of Tucson, Ariz.; his girlfriend, Lindsey Jean Basham of Tucson; grandfather and granny, David and Anne Epperson; his nana, June C. Epperson; grandmother, Nancy L. Wright; aunt and uncle, Tracy and Joe Godwin; aunt, Charlotte Karlen; uncle and aunt, David and Karla Epperson; aunt and uncle, Shawna and Mason Lam; his cousins, Jason Booth, Cody Booth, Cassie Wallace, Melissa Britton, Henry Epperson, Owen Epperson and William Epperson.

There is also a person to be mentioned who loved David very much. Her name is Sam Scharman. She had high hopes and dreams of David's future and is also heartbroken for the loss of David.

During his short life he lived in several states. His favorites were Arizona, California, Florida and Washington State. He loved his family, friends and his dog, Buddy.

He left behind many, many friends all over the country. His closest were: Desmond Graham, Cody Saarloos, Chelsea Vasas, Jeremy Hacker, Jay Jay Rose, Kevin Corey, Resa Evans, Ryan Nichols and many, many more.

He loved the water, especially diving. He was a commercial diver, BMX bike racer and biker, skate boarder and a graphic artist. He had a kind soul and was not without humor. David wanted to enjoy life and all it had to offer. He wanted to be happy and have the love of a girl to share life with.

David will be missed and his memory will live in our hearts forever.

May David have peace and know he was loved by all. We will remember you until we meet again.

His service will be from 3-5 p.m. Saturday Aug. 18, 2012, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 5454 Mobile Highway, in Pensacola, Fla., 32526.
