Darrel Thomas Taylor, 22, of Athens passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Darrel was born Aug. 17, 1990, in Jefferson County. Darrel was a member of O’Neal Church of Christ.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in O’Neal Cemetery with Guy McDaniel and Al Burns officiating.
Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his father, Robert A. Taylor; and niece, Katie Lynn Taylor.
Survivors include his mother, Martha Taylor of Athens; 11 brothers, Brad Taylor and wife Nanette, Clint Taylor and wife Denise, Matt Taylor and wife Leah, Randall Taylor and wife Whitney, Daniel Taylor, J.J. Taylor, Derrick Taylor, Alex Taylor, Montez Taylor, Andy Taylor and Isaac Taylor, all of Athens; six sisters, Debbie Appleton and husband David, Mary Kelly and husband James, Melanie Hart and husband Erik, Nancy Taylor, Nicki Taylor and Ashlee Tribble, all of Athens; longtime girlfriend, Jessica Lynn Craft of Athens; foster brother, Jason Wilkerson and wife Tara; foster sister, Ann Basabe and family; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Will Baucom, Jake Appleton, Hunter Appleton, Alex Taylor, Montez Taylor and Jason Wilkerson. Honorary pallbearers will be, Derrick Taylor and brothers.
