The funeral for Mrs. Gayle Dean Hill, 67, of Athens will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at McConnell Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Jeff Drake and Brother Billy Taylor Officiating.
Mrs. Hill passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at Huntsville Hospital. Burial will be in Hatchet Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hill was born April 9, 1945, to Charlie Nave and Francis Legg Nave. She was a loving grandmother and devoted mother. She was a member of Mays Memorial Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Price Nave.
Mrs. Hill is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jackie Wayne Hill of Athens; two sons, Rickie Wayne Hill of Athens, Michael LaDon Hill and wife Bridget of Ardmore; one daughter, Susan Levon Hill of Athens; four sisters, Joyce Swanner of Athens, Kathy Goolsby of Athens, Charlotte LeMay of Huntsville, Janice Lindsay of Athens; six grandchildren, Joey King, Lindsey King, Austin Hill, Brittany Hill, Shane Thomas, Paul Wayne King; and three great-grandchildren, Stacia Thomas, Adrian Thomas, and Christina Thomas.
Pallbearers will be Derek Lindsay, Bryan Lindsay, Kenith Swanner, Dennis LeMay, Clint Dugger, and Andrew Tucker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joey King, Austin Hill, Shane Thomas, and Paul Wayne King.
