The funeral for Aileen Cox, 90, of Athens will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home with Jimmy Cox officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cox died Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Athens Rehabilitation Center and SeniorCare.
Aileen Cox was born Sept. 1, 1921, in Limestone County. She was a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by husband, Joner Henry Cox; son, Larry Gene Cox; grandson, Michael Cox; one sister; and two brothers.
Survivors include sons, Junior Cox and wife Jo Anne of Athens, James Earl Cox and wife Carolyn of Rogersville, and Max Cox and wife Hazel of Athens; daughter, Vickie Hicks of Anderson; sister, Daphene Moore of Athens; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Shon Cox, Chad Cox, Bubba Hughes, Jamie Hughes, Wendell Moore and J.D. Barnett.
